Equipment
At
Whitefriars Sailing 4 Disabled we have dinghies that cater for the needs
of most disabled people. We have: "Challenger" trimarans that
have been ingeniously adapted to enable us to take more people out on
the water; Access 303's (1 and 2 man); Access 2.3's (1 and 2 man); Wayfarers
(can take 4or 5 people).
Apart
from our fleet of boats we have special equipment to enable us to include
people with very severe disabilities: hoists and servo-assist equipment.
This means that people with no limb function could sail with the use of
blow-suck controls. We also have a pontoon fitted with a hoist so that
low-water doesn't prevent us from getting people sailing.
